There is one thing certain and that is none of God’s words will go unfulfilled. In the world, there will be challenges. As a Christian, from time to time you will find yourself in unpleasant and displeasing situations. The chaos, wars and rumors of wars fulfill God’s word, indicating the end times. Strange events and wars happening in these present days tell us that the coming of Jesus is near. He predicted that these things would be (Matthew 24). However, we can be assured that He has promised never to leave or forsake us, especially in the day of trouble (Isaiah 41:10-11).
The Miracle Working God
The God we serve is everlasting- He is the same yesterday, today and forever more. Blessed be our glorious King, who was, who is, and who is to come. The fact that He has performed miracles in the past indicates that He indeed is a miracle working God and is still able to perform miracles, signs and wonders even today. He is still opening up blind eyes and deaf ears. He’s still raising the dead and setting the captives and those in bondage free! But, because of unbelief and inconsistency that resides in some people, they tend to trivialize the potency of God’s power. They think what happened in the Bible was a story that can be replicated. But that is an extreme fallacy. Psalm 77:14 says you are God who works wonders; You have made known your strength among the people. We see His mighty acts and works throughout the Bible!
We see His miracle-working power amid the chaos and war between Ukraine and Russia. In size, Russia is far bigger than Ukraine. Yet, we see instances where God shows His wonders.
The Pictorial Display of Angels in the Sky

Many Ukrainians are reporting that they are seeing angels – an image of an angel appeared in the sky. Psalm 91 declares that God will give His angels charge over us to keep us in all of our ways. God sent His angels to protect Daniel in the lion’s den. Daniel said, “My God has sent His angels and shut the mouths of the lions, they cannot hurt me”. We see throughout the Bible that God used these heavenly beings to guide, assist, protect and to fight on behalf of His people. On numerous occasions, He used destroying angels of death and destruction to bring judgement (See https://www.gotquestions.org/destroying-angel.html). Sightings of angels have been reported in previous wars as well.
The Stopping Ship and Vehicles
For months, Russia has been preparing for this war. But it was a great wonder to see the fuel of the ship getting exhausted in the middle of the sea and that of their war vehicles. Incredibly, they asked for help, and no one could help them or supply them with diesel, we should know this; it is not in their inadequacy but the sufficiency of God’s miraculous power to help His people.
God’s Miraculous Protection
Russian armies turned places to ashes with their rocket, missiles, and bombs. Yet, we see God protecting His people. One of the Ukrainian soldiers, Nasir, reported that he was in hiding with his team, and he felt strongly to pray in the spirit. As he began to pray, the spirit of God instructed him to leave the place. As soon as he left with his team, a few minutes later, the bomb was released to that particular place.
With all of the calamities befalling the world today, we see the power of God is evident. God’s promises are still intact. The prayers of the righteous can never be underestimated. Although, there are certain troubles that we will not be able to abort and must come to pass; we can rest assure that God is still on His throne and His miracle-working power is still potent in the midst of chaos and war to protect His people and to make them victorious.
